Kelley Rumsey, DNP, MSN

Kelley Rumsey, DNP, MSN, RN, CEN, TCRN, ACNP-BC, PNP-BC is an experienced nursing leader and trauma care professional currently serving as the Trauma Program Director at Bon Secours Mercy Health, a role she has held since August 2022.

Deeply committed to advancing excellence in emergency and trauma nursing, Kelley has been an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Emergency Nurses Association since the late 1990s. She also contributed nationally to the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing, serving as Chairperson of the Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) Exam Construction and Review Committee from March 2015 through August 2023.

Prior to her current position, Kelley served at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System from March 2012 to August 2022 in progressive trauma leadership roles, including Pediatric Trauma Program Coordinator and Interim Trauma Program Manager. She previously served as Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors for the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing from 2011 to 2013.

Kelley earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (2016–2019) and her Master’s degree in Nursing from VCU (1998–2001). She began her nursing education at Richmond Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, where she completed her nursing diploma (1987–1990).
