Paul Brasler became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2002 and currently serves as the Coordinator for the Chesterfield County Employee Behavioral Health Program in Virginia. In this role, he leads a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive clinical services to first responders and human services professionals.
Paul has extensive experience supporting individuals in crisis and those living with substance use disorders. His clinical background includes adolescent residential treatment, community mental health settings, hospital emergency departments, juvenile drug court, and private practice.
A nationally recognized presenter through PESI since 2016, Paul has delivered training programs across the country on mental health emergencies, high-risk clients, resiliency, and evidence-based approaches for clinicians working with substance use disorders.
Paul is the author of three widely used professional texts: The Clinician’s Guide to Suicide Management (PESI Publishing, 2025), The Clinician’s Guide to Substance Use Disorder (PESI Publishing, 2022), and High-Risk Clients (PESI Publishing, 2019).
He resides in Richmond, Virginia with his wife, three sons, a timid dog, and two dwarf rabbits who are quietly plotting to take over the world.
